About Valley Mover

Valley Mover operates year-round mass transportation between Wasilla and Anchorage.  Valley Mover was founded by Mokie & Roberta Tew in February, 2010.  They have purchased People Mover buses from the Municipality of Anchorage.  Valley Mover has applied for not-for-profit status from the Internal Revenue Service.  Currently the Tews are financing Valley Mover along with contributions made from sponsors listed here.  Valley Mover intends to add scheduled bus routes within the Valley as the company grows.

How to ride

  1. Arrive at the bus stop 5 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.
  2. Have correct fare ready for boarding.  Drivers do not make change.  Let the bus operator know in advance if you wish to purchase a Day Pass or Monthly Pass so you can ride the same day for one price.  Place exact fare in the fare box.
  3. Board the bus at the front door(alert driver if you need the ramp deployed or need to have the coach lowered)
  4. The seats in the front of the bus are reserved for senior citizens and disabled passengers.
  5. Stay seated until the bus comes to a complete stop.
  6. Exit using the rear door and stay clear of the bus after exiting the bus.
  7. Bicyclers should notify the bus operator of the need to retrieve a bicycle and exit through the front door.  Using the bike rack-click here for instructions.
